Virat Kohli covered more than 277 km between wickets for his non-boundary scored shots throughout the course of his 15-year international career. While his running companions were at the starting line, he completed an extra 233 km, bringing his total to more than 510 kilometers. Kohli has only ever hit an all-run four in his career, against Zimbabwe in an ODI in 2013.

With 518 successful chases, Kohli has an average that is more than five times higher than Cameron White, who came in second (104).

166 not out following 73 all-out thumps
Virat Kohli struck 166 runs in the Thiruvananthapuram one-day international earlier this year without being removed, helping India accumulate 390 for five in their 50 overs. Despite being bowled out for only 73 runs, Sri Lanka won the game by a record-breaking 317 runs, the largest margin in men’s ODI history.
The Sri Lankans were outscored by Kohli alone by 93 runs, the second-largest margin between a batter’s score and the opposing team’s total in an ODI match for men. The highest was also achieved in an India-Sri Lanka one-day international in 2000 when Sanath Jayasuriya hit 189 runs and beat India (54 all out) by 135 runs.

In 41 Test appearances and 11 hundred runs at the time of his retirement in 2016, Kohli has just once reached 150 (against Australia in Melbourne in 2014) and had been dismissed seven times below 120.. During the 2013 tour, Kohli captained India to a 5-0 ODI series triumph against Zimbabwe in his first full assignment as captain. Over the course of the subsequent years, he would come to the same conclusion twice more.
In 2014, without MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli effectively guided India to a 5-0 victory against Sri Lanka at home. Sri Lanka was once again defeated 5-0 in 2017, but this time it happened at home. In a series of four or more games, Kohli is still the first skipper in men’s ODI cricket to lead his team to three whitewashes.
Making a difference in large chases
Despite being three hundred runs short of Sachin Tendulkar’s record 49 hundreds in ODIs, Kohli is still in a good position while chasing. Tendulkar had 17 hundred in ODI chases; as of right now, he has 26 hundred, which is nine more. When India was aiming to accomplish goals of 303 or more, up to nine of Kohli’s chasing hundreds had taken place. Jason Roy, who has five such hundreds, is the closest competitor on this list, and the other four hitters have four tonnes each in 300-run goal chases.
The youngest debuting opener from India
Virat Kohli made his international debut for his nation in an ODI match against Sri Lanka in 2008 at the age of 19 years and 287 days. Kohli regularly makes contributions to durable partnerships in ODI cricket. He owns the record with 13 appearances in the 200-stand. The most of any pairing in the format, he has shared five of them with Rohit Sharma. Except for Rohit, who has seven, no other player has participated in more than seven double-century stands. In Kohli’s previous eight double-hundred-stand innings, there were six more players: Gautam Gambhir (three), Virender Sehwag, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, and Ishan Kishan.

Virat Kohli participated in his debut Test match at Sabina Park in 2011 just after helping India win the World Cup. Kohli was declared India’s most successful Test cricket captain when India defeated West Indies by 257 runs eight years later at the same venue. Kohli outperformed MS Dhoni’s 27 victories when captaining India in Test matches with his 28 victories. After adding another 12, Kohli finished with 40 Test victories, placing him fourth among all captains.
