The INDIA bloc is a coalition of 26 opposition parties in India, including two national and 24 regional parties, that aims to challenge the ruling BJP-led NDA in the 2024 general elections
The media committee of the INDIA bloc took the decision to boycott the programs of these journalists and not send their representatives to debates hosted by them on such channels or platforms.

Boycott Reason – News
The reason for the boycott was that these anchors allegedly promoted a “hate-filled narrative” that is corroding the society and spreading communalism.
The INDIA bloc hoped that these anchors would do some introspection and take some corrective measures.
The BJP condemned the move and compared it with the Emergency that curbed media rights in 1975. The BJP also accused the INDIA bloc of displaying a repressive, dictatorial, and negative mindset.
The News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA) also criticized the boycott and said it sets a dangerous precedent and goes against the ethos of democracy.
